ELECTORATE OFFICER
Applications are invited for a full-time position of Electorate Officer to join the Office of Catherine Hutchesson MP, Member for Waite. The position is based at 1/7-9 Young Street, Blackwood SA.
Key Criteria
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and producing communications for a wide variety of audiences
• Ability to respectfully interact with local constituents, community organisations and businesses regarding state government services and policies
• Demonstrated high-level strategic thinking, sound political judgement, and proven reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments in high pressure situations
• Ability to undertake research including analysing and interpreting legislation and providing structured recommendations
• Strong administrative skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite including database management
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and exercise a high-level of accountability, initiative, and problem-solving skills
• Sound knowledge of parliamentary processes.
Desirable Experience
• High level writing, designing, and editing skills.
• Canva, Adobe Suite, Mailchimp and CMS
• Justice of the Peace or willing to become a JP
A commencing salary of $78,913.00 per annum (inclusive of 15% overtime allowance).
Conditions of employment are governed by the Assistants to the Members of the South Australian Parliament Enterprise Agreement 2021 and the Personal Assistants to the Members of the Parliament of South Australia 1989 Award.
