About the role
Laing O’Rourke has recently been appointed as Managing Contractor for the Initial Works and Early Works package of Suburban Rail Loop; the huge package of works includes preparing sites for the launch of tunnel boring machines, moving and protecting underground services, ground improvement, geotechnical investigations and roads modifications for this city-shaping project.
We are currently seeking a Sustainability Manager or an experienced Senior Sustainability Advisor to join our team on the Suburban Rail Loop Early and Initial Works Project. This is your opportunity to join a privately-owned Tier 1 constructor and International Engineering Enterprise.
Key responsibilities
You will manage and drive the achievement of project sustainability outcomes by ensuring sustainability is embedded into project processes and practices. Ensuring that the project is economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.
About you
Ideally you can promote a wealth of experience gained over several years’ working on Infrastructure or Building related projects as a Sustainability Manager or Design /Environmental Manager. You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in built environment, sustainability, architecture and/ or equivalent with extensive experience on Infrastructure, Rail or Building projects as an ISAP and GSAP accredited professional. You are capable of setting project sustainability targets and developing plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery. Given your current role; you can demonstrate excellent project and planning skills and the ability to work with diverse professionals to effectively plan, implement and program sustainability works. Experience in completing sustainability ratings such as ISC and Green Star ratings is desirable.
