Industry leading organisation looking for an Electrical and Controls Design Engineer for a 12-month contract.

They are currently looking for a skilled Electrical and Controls Design Engineer to join their growing team.
Your new role
This is a 12-months fixed-term contract. The role provides the technical delivery of Electrical and control systems associated with the design, manufacture & commissioning of solutions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide electrical & control solutions for heavy industry and mining
- Plan, design, document, implement, factory test, and site commission electrical & control systems
- Travel to carry out installation supervision and commissioning activities at customer sites
- Work in accordance with best practice for control systems engineering against industry standards
- Provide technical support to clients, service staff and sales staff
- Effective sales support through providing estimates of both schedule and cost
- Ensure achievement of project delivery to quality, schedule, and budget
- Develop commissioning plans and procedures
- Complete and sign off Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) test records
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or Software Engineering
- 2+ years' experience as an Electrical & Control Systems Engineer or similar
- Knowledge and experience with Electrical and Controls design and commissioning, instrumentation and ethernet networks.
- Exposure to engineering design and documentation
- Experience with PLC programs and/or HMI/SCADA configurations
- Proficient in MS Office including MS Project
- Sound technical report writing skills
- Excellent customer relationship skills
