As one of our Electrical and Controls Engineers, your work will help power the future! Joining the team based in Wacol you'll use your skills to work design and deliver renewables-based power generation projects while working in collaboration with our sales team!
You'll have a say in specifications and selection of the best suppliers and subcontractors, as well as contribute to the success and growth of our Off-Highway / Energy Solutions Team. With your knowledge and background, you'll be able to assist in the delivery of renewables projects, and build fantastic working relationships across various areas of the business including sales, projects and other engineering teams!
About you:
- Appropriate tertiary Electrical Engineering qualifications.
- Strong interest and knowledge of energy storage systems comprising of inverters, transformers and electrical switchgear .
- Understanding of power systems and control systems.
- At least 2 year's experience as an Electrical Engineer commissioning electrical systems.
- Experience working with PLC systems and protection relays.
- Familiarity with major power system simulation software packages such as PSCAD and Power factory will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with AS3000 and other relevant standards.
- Ability to read and interpret product information bulletins-Sales, Service & Parts
- Ability to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to technical, application and other related issues
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD software and business operating systems
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
