With this continued focus on innovation and new products there is a need for an Electrical & Controls Engineer to help deliver optimisations across their key manufacturing facility in the inner Western suburbs of Melbourne.
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver and driving process developments and improvements and taking the lead for control system and reliability related activities across the site.
- Scoping and planning for the automation component of capital works and implementing process control, hardware and software improvements.
- Providing technical support and fault-finding expertise across the site.
- Work with trades during the installation and commissioning process, as well as optimisations.
- Manage the control system design, procurement, implementation and integration on capital projects and driving upgrades across the system.
Your Background
- Degree qualified in Mechatronics, Electrical or Automation Engineering.
- Proven experience working with high-speed automation equipment, ideally within food, beverage or dairy industries.
- Demonstrated experience with PLC systems such as Siemens and / or Allen-Bradley Rockwell automation systems
- High-level problem-solving skills
- Have strong communication skills
- Strong organisation skills
