About the roleWe have a permanent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer based in Leederville joining our Engineering team. You’ll undertake engineering design work to assist in the provision and management of Western Australia’s water related schemes and water resources. Based in our Leederville office, this role will be reporting to the Team Leader – Electrical Design. What the role will involveUndertake detailed engineering planning, design and investigation workPrepare instructions, specifications, reports and cost estimatesEvaluate products, recommendations, proposals from designersPrepare specifications and tender documents, analyse tenders, and make recommendations for acceptanceInvestigate and recommend for approval methods and procedures, designs, drawings and specifications.Liaise with representatives from other business units, regions, external organisations, consultants, customers and the general public in relation to engineering planning, design and investigations Key skills and experienceYou’ll have a degree in an electrical engineering discipline, along with substantial water related professional engineering experience in infrastructure planning, definition and/or detailed design of infrastructure assets. Your demonstrated experience in power electrical engineering, investigation and analysis of project proposals and review of engineering works and design standards will ensure success in this role.
