The Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of electrical infrastructure, from design and implementation to troubleshooting and maintenance.

- Investigate and troubleshoot plant operational problems, as reported by others or observed through frequent contact with the plant, devise and recommend or initiate solutions.
- Analyze plant failures and perform root cause analysis.
- Carry out technical inspections, prepare reports with recommendations and/or arrange necessary action.
- Provide Engineering support to outage teams during plant shutdowns.
- Accountable for all HV, LV, instrumentation and controls decisions made in regard to the plant.
- Develop Asset Management Plans and strategies for plant reliability.
- Build relationships with other team members, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Share technical knowledge and information.
- Electrical, Instrumentation and controls Engineering Bachelor degree.
- WA Driver's Licence Class "C" or "C-A"
- Relevant industry, experience, skill and knowledge in the following areas is highly desirable: or utility industry
- Experience in different brands and types of protection relays
- Solid understanding and experience in Generators, transformers, switchgear
- Capable of interrogating different types of PLCs, and distributed control systems.
- Proficiency in use of key computer systems, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and business software or comparable systems.
- Austtralian Full working rights
- Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia (CPEng) or working towards is desirable.
- Experieence in design, construction, and operation and maintenance of power generation assets including renewable and distributed energy sources
- Proficiency in DigSILENT PowerFactory will be highly regarded.
- Familiar with the use of SAP, planning and scheduling tools.
- Familiar in Root Cause Analysis and defect elimination processes.
- People, customer and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to mentor Graduates and coach other staff members.
- 12 month contract oopportunity with the view of extend or permanent role
- Kwinana based with ad hoc visits to Pinjar
