About the role
You will take the lead in developing technologically advanced solutions, analysing and collaborating with suppliers, bringing new products to market.
Duties
- Develop electronic modules tailored for emergency services, motorsport, and CANBUS vehicle systems.
- Design electrical systems for emergency services, motorsport, lithium battery storage, and CANBUS vehicle systems.
- Collaborate within a small, dedicated team to enhance our in-house collection of electronic modules.
- Mentor less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and development.
- Document specifications and technical design details for new projects including Vehicle to home and home to grid power solutions.
- Engage in a variety of challenging and interesting assignments.
- Create scope and design documentation aligned with client requirements.
Skills & experience
- Experience developing and bringing electrical products to market
- Bachelor of Engineering degree – electrical or mechatronics
- Member of Engineers Australia
- Multitasking – can manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Altium for schematics and PCB development would be benefitial.
- Experience with C and C++ for embedded systems is highly regarded.
- Competence in prototype development and hand soldering of PCBAs.
- Experience integrating third-party systems.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Interest or experience with vehicle CAN systems.
