The Opportunity
In this role, you will report to the Manager Assest Readiness and work an 8:6 roster as part of our Onslow Iron operation in Western Australia. Your focus will be on providing Electrical Engineering expertise to the maintenance and operations functions on all fixed plant equipment.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Promoting safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and implementing preventative measures to mitigate hazards.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assessing and optimising equipment inspections and maintenance strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Developing maintenance strategies to minimise downtime and improve overall efficiency.
- Leading and facilitating investigations for significant equipment events to ensure quick and effective resolutions.
- Overseeing the installation of new electrical equipment and systems with precision and expertise.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge electrical systems and components.
- Analysing and enhancing the performance of plant electrical systems for maximum productivity.
- Providing expert advice and technical information to support stakeholders in both planned and unplanned environments.
- Evaluating changes to electrical systems for optimal performance and sustainability.
- Preparing comprehensive Electrical Engineering documentation and reports for seamless project management.
What is Required?
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum 4 years experience demonstrated in a similar role. With experience in fixed plant mining and material handling processes.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering (Recognised by Engineers Australia)
- Detailed knowledge of mining/port operating environments
