ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position working a 9-day fortnight roster DIDO from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Worsley Alumina Blueprint by providing specialised electrical power and instrumentation engineering technical expertise to the Operation.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Manage modifications and project tasks in accordance with relevant processes, standards, and performance targets for HSEC, quality and cost.
- Provide electrical and instrumentation engineering expertise and consultative support for the Operation
- Ensure compliance to relevant processes and standards, statutory legislation, Fatal Risk Controls, and Industry, Australian or Government Standards.
- Gas appliances and radiation devices compliance management and support to the operation on relative queries.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Prior experience in a similar role within Mining or Heavy Industry
- Appreciation of functional safety
- Knowledge and experience in management of gas appliances and radiation devices. (Desirable)
- Understanding in asset management of industrial power and control equipment, VSDs/motors, distribution equipment and plant instrumentation.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Radiation safety management (Desirable)
- Authorised Gas Fitter (Desirable)
- Current Drivers Licence
