Right now, we’re in a phase of exciting growth and need the nation’s brightest Electrical Engineers to join our team on the Australian Defence Air Traffic System (ADATS) program. In this role you will be involved in the development, introduction into service and sustainment of a range of systems across the program.
ADATS provides ongoing maintenance, engineering, program management and logistics support services to sustain each of the 12 Air Traffic Management sites, including control sites, radars, and other equipment vital for safeguarding Australia’s military airspace.

The role:
As an Electrical Engineer for the ADATS program, your responsibilities include:
- Provide engineering solutions including design, analysis, implementation, test and lifecycle support of nominated electrical components, modules, subsystems and configuration items.
- Develop Engineering Change Proposals using change management processes and conforming to relevant quality management and Australian Standards.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
- Support of enabling capabilities regarding troubleshooting and upgrading of capabilities, requiring liaison with operations, maintenance, and logistics staff, as well as Royal Australian Air Force users.
The person:
- Engineering Degree in Engineering (with a significant component of Electrical Engineering).
- A minimum of 3-5 years prior relevant experience in a relevant engineering discipline within a process-driven engineering environment (e.g. Defence, medical, manufacturing, mining).
- Effective written and oral communication skills, fostering strong mutual understandings between diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve objectives
- Demonstrated ability to deliver quality engineering solutions to budget and schedule expectations.
Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
