In this role, you will provide critical technical support to improve and maintain current assets, whilst playing a significant part in the strategic undertakings of GPC’s green energy initiatives. Through a strong focus on compliance and safety, your expertise will support the business and allow for a future of growth in the Gladstone Area.
This is a Monday to Friday permanent opportunity that requires the individual to live in the Gladstone Area. Relocation packages can be offered for the right applicant.
Accountabilities
- Contribute strategic thinking and insight toward the development of the Asset Management business plan:
- Implement business plan and ensure improvement projects are completed on time and to pre-determined specifications
- Provide technical advice on the selection of equipment with a view towards site-wide standardisation, reliability, and maintainability
- Ensure initiatives and business plans are documented, kept up to date and align with the overall strategic vision
- Manage and develop GPC’s electrical distribution networks and assets:
- Continuously work on Electrical improvement initiatives
- Coordinate external contractors effectively to achieve business objectives
- Assist in the development and management of the Green Energy initiatives
- Ensure GPC Electrical Engineering standards :
- Oversee and develop the electrical safety management and statutory electrical testing systems
- Investigate electrical safety incidents
- Monitor substation access system Coordinating implementation and monitoring site compliance
- Contribute to their development and improvement in light of electrical legitimation and industry best practice
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with RPEQ
- Previously held a leadership or senior position of influence within the Mining, Oil & Gas, or Heavy industrial sectors
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution networks and Power Systems (HV & LV) within an asset management environment
- Demonstrated experience working with PLCs, Scada, Safety Systems, Hazardous Areas and Instrumentation
- Demonstratable design, site, EPCM or project experience on brownfield projects focusing on electrical Power Systems
- Strong stakeholder management ie. EPCM, contractor and service providers
- Engage in exciting strategies and initiatives that will have a lasting impact, with exposure to a wide variety of new technologies and processes
- Utilise your expertise in Power Systems to provide knowledge and guidance to the team across distribution network assets
