The Role:
As an Electrical Project Estimator, you will play a vital role in the successful execution of electrical projects.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical expertise in the preparation of estimates and tenders. This involves working closely with the Project Manager & SMEs as applicable to ensure tender submissions are accurate, of high quality and completed on time.
The Estimator will also provide technical support to existing contracts and identify and support continual improvement within the tender process.
This is a Permanent, Monday-to-Friday role based out of our Wangara or Subiaco Offices. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company with exposure to heavy industrial, mining, energy and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Analysis:
Review project plans and collaborate with project teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
Cost Estimation:
Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, utilizing advanced estimating software and conducting comprehensive cost analysis.
Bid Preparation:
Prepare and submit bids to clients, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Vendor and Subcontractor Management:
Obtain quotes and evaluate subcontractor bids to align with project requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain organized records of project estimates and prepare reports for senior management and clients.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with industry trends and provide feedback to refine estimating processes.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Trade qualified
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
- On-Site experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to pass a medial and drug and alcohol screen
