Electrical Estimator - Junior

As a junior Electrical Estimator, you will bring an eagerness to learn the craft of estimating. 

You will need to have an electrical background, ideally in the residential, commercial or industrial space. 

You will be a great communicator - estimating is a sales role, you need to be able to communicate in both written and verbal form. 

You need to be diligent - accuracy and thoroughness are critical 

You will love working in a close-knit collaborative team, as the role is full-time from our brand new office in Richmond

Travel for site inspections, meetings, and the like will be required as you progress in the role. 

What does your typical day look like?: 

Your key responsibilities:

• Review project specifications and drawings to determine a scope of work
• Dissemination of tender packages and completing take-offs in our system
• going through peer review processes to ensure the accuracy of your work
• researching and sourcing competitive pricing quotes from our suppliers and wholesalers
• Participating in bid presentations and negotiations with customers
• Assisting in the development of project schedules and budgets
• Soaking up every bit of information you can to improve and develop your estimating craft  

• You must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status to apply for this role
• The app stack we use includes SIMPRO, Groundplan, Bluebeam, and CAD. Any experience in any of these platforms will be viewed favourably.
