BEC Electrical is seeking an experienced estimator and document controller with expertise in the Electrical and/or Mechanical sectors.
You will be responsible for creating estimates, cost plans, controlling documents of projects currently underway, as well as those that are planned for future jobs.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be helping to develop new processes and procedures across our organisation.

Currently our core clients are high-end builders and architects working on award-winning residential homes, along with small commercial builds. Due to this client-base, we require someone who has a high attention to detail and methodical approach to their work.
We are looking for someone with a positive and personable approach, who is open to learning and teaching, and who does not shy away from the hard conversations when they’re required. They will have the ability to communicate their work to both internal and external stake holders, while maintaining a focus on quality output and customer satisfaction throughout

Our ideal applicant would have:
- The ability to enjoy themselves at work
- Possible retiree who's not quite ready to let go of an exciting industry
- Victorian A-Grade Electrical license
- 5+ years of Australian estimating experience
- Proficiency in using Aroflo
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Thorough understanding of electrical or mechanical systems and installation methods
- Comprehensive understanding of current industry rules and regulation
- Genuine pride in your work
- Ability to present well and communicate clearly
- Proven ability to manage teams and small (or large) projects
- Experience in complex residential builds
- Strong work ethic
- Construction Industry Training Card
Well regarded skills (please refer to these in your cover letter):
- Working in high-end or architectural home build
- Forklift License
- An understanding or appreciation of the commercial side of running a small business
- Some Grade A Banter (culture is imperative!)
