Electrical / Instrument Maintenance Technician

JPG Engineering is a small multidiscipline Wollongong based Process Engineering Company. 

Our Company specialises in the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of purpose-built industrial water treatment and other process plant and equipment for a wide range of industries. 

JPG Engineering is seeking to employ an enthusiastic Electrical / Instrument technician to support our current and future work.

Key Job Responsibilities: 

• Promote a safe working environment and follow WHS procedures. 
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients and colleagues. 
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical and process equipment at Client Sites. 
• Calibration and maintenance of instrumentation. 
• Perform reactive and pro-active maintenance activities on a wide range of operational equipment and facilities. 
• Support a high level of equipment availability. 

Essential Qualifications and Skills: 

• Formal trade qualification as an Electrician. 
• Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. 
• Must hold a valid Australian Driver’s License.
• Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in English. 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. 
• Ability to work overtime when required, including a rotating On Call weekend roster for breakdowns. 
• Must have appropriate rights to work permanently in Australia.

Desirable Experience:

• Instrumentation Experience. 
• PLC Fault Finding. 
• Previous experience in water/wastewater treatment.
