Electrical & Instrumental Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced E&I Project Engineer Contractor to join our team. Reporting to the E&I Engineering Superintendent, you will be involved in various mid-size projects, focusing on producing the FEED to facilitate successful implementation and commissioning/start-up.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Health, Environment, and Safety requirements.
• Execute assigned tasks proficiently within schedule and budget constraints.
• Conduct discipline-specific engineering tasks including calculations, analysis, and generating actions.
• Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and technical personnel.
• Assist in managing project changes and updates to cost estimates and schedules.
• Provide support for construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Interact professionally with vendors and contractors, ensuring adherence to commercial and contractual responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in brownfield Oil & Gas or similar industries is preferred. 
• Proficient in designing to Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000.
• Strong knowledge of substation design for 3.3 KV & 415V AC voltage levels.
• Familiarity with Australian hazardous area standards (AS/NZS 60079) and instrumentation for hazardous areas.
• Experience in instrumentation specification, testing, and certification.
• Knowledgeable in control valve sizing and selection, shutdown, and blowdown valve design.
• Experience in electrical and automation vendor liaison and procurement life-cycle.
• Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and emergency shutdown systems.
• Proficient in creating various design documentation including diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic control systems for actuated valves.
• Relevant experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of instruments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
