NHOA Energy is a global leader in utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), headquartered in Milan, Italy, with international operations in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
NHOA is seeking a suitably Operations and Maintenance Manager for the Kwinana Battery Energy Storage Sysystem (KBESS) that has a shared passion for to lead WA’s clean energy transition.
As Operations and Maintenance and Manager for the KBESS facility, you will be responsible for managing ongoing maintenance and safe operation of the facility, to ensure availability and performance of the system.
Task and Duties:

  • Supervise and monitor KBESS Synergy plant to guarantee the full operation of the systems and to maximize its performances.
  • Manage, execute, and monitor operation and maintenance activities (preventive, corrective or reactive), including the management of spares.
  • Perform the required scheduled preventive maintenance and the corrective maintenance activities on site. In accordance with the internal and external regulations, relevant standards, and codes of practice.
  • Coordinate and prepare all maintenance related document such as Service Plans, Reports, Procedures, Resources, Tools and Instrument.
  • Ensure the costumer CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is updated with the information provided by the Service Engineer.
  • Manage the relations with costumer: cooperation, coordination, communication, notification.
  • Participation in training courses on specialized topics, locally or overseas as required.
  • Support the commissioning team on-site (only at the beginning of the project).
  • On-site and remote support to the customer in terms of quick response in case of failure/fault on any components/assets to restore system functionalities in the shortest time possible.
  • Answer via e-mail and/or phone to any technical inquiries escalated by the Client.
  • Flexibility to be available on call when required
  • Maintaining knowledge and understanding of the latest Australian Standards relating to Battery Energy Storage System.
Your Background:
  • University or trade qualified (electrical / electronic or similar)
  • WA Electrical License (mandatory)
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as Site Manager/Electrical Supervisor/Electrical Maintenance Superintendent
  • Proven and executed track record in effective health and safety management on site.
Your Skills:
  • Experience in effective planning, scheduling, management of personnel, subcontractors, resources.
  • Experience in Energy industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fast learning (also “training on-the-job”) on the functionality and critical issues of a product/system
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLC’s and HMI’s and Scada Systems
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
