About The Role
Are you passionate about land management, business case development and biodiversity and carbon credit markets? Do you thrive on challenges and enjoy taking initiative?
We are seeking an experienced Principal Advisor Land and Tenements to join our team. You will play a key role in negotiating land access approvals, developing and managing biodiversity and carbon credit projects, and governing access compliance for our Murray Basin Projects located in NSW and Victoria.
Your skills and experience in stakeholder engagement, business case development, negotiations, risk assessment, and environmental offset compliance will be pivotal in this role.
This is a permanent, full-time role with travel to site required.
Reporting to the Manager Land and Tenements, you will be accountable for:
- Executing the land access process for our new projects
- Delivering Iluka’s land access portfolio strategy
- Managing land and tenure related risks of new project and legacy sites
About You
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in land or asset management, agricultural science and/or business administration
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and management
- Extensive experience in land or environmental management
- Qualifications or demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, negotiation behaviour, and project delivery and management
- Previous experience with the NSW Biodiversity Credit Market and Scheme is preferred
- Ability to manage multiple complex negotiations and build and maintain relationships with both internal (incl. senior leaders) and external stakeholders (namely regulators, landowners, investors, community, industry groups)
- Risk Management – Process-driven integration of commercial, legal, reputational and environmental risks
- Capacity to work within and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams on projects
