Your new team and role:

This role, reporting to Plant Manager forms part of our high performing Manufacturing team. This role is responsible planning and coordinating all activities across the manufacturing facility to ensure the production of quality products in required timeframes is achieved.  This will include managing safety, quality, throughput, manufacturing costs, waste and on time delivery of manufactured product.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordination of all manufacturing activities across day and night shift with the support of shift supervisors 
  • Review, monitor and take action to ensure plant and labour utilisation is aligned to production planning requirements.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union, and other key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement actions and initiatives that will positively impact manufacturing operations to deliver improved safety, financial, quality or productivity outcomes.
  • Actively manage and resolve issues or corrective actions and lead investigations to identify the root cause of issues.
  • Working closely with, the Senior Production Planner and Plant Manager, ensure that overall production plan achieves daily, weekly, and monthly production throughput of product by ensuring manning, raw materials, and plant is available to achieve targets.
  • Working closely with the Technology functions be responsible for ensuring that the quality assurance process is implemented and complied with to ensure that all belt products for the WA market meet customer specifications in relation to technical, quality, performance, packaging, and delivery specifications
  • Improve performance and outcomes of team members by providing leadership, mentoring and support, making development opportunities available through training and on the job experience.
  • Assist and complete production operation reports as directed and report manufacturing activities and KPI's by set time frames.
  About you:
  • Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment 
  • Strong leadership skills and stakeholder management ability
  • Demonstrated experience in a heavy manufacturing organisation
  • Competent level of IT skills
  • Strong and proven written and oral communication and presentation skills. Ability to structure, engage and present information clearly too various audiences.
  • Advanced level ability to coach, motivate, engage, direct and coordinate work teams
  • Ability to prioritise work demands and meet required timelines to achieve the set objective.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge and experience to solve problems.
