The opportunity  

We have an opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager to join our team to lead the delivery of services with clients in the Northern Territory.

As the Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible to lead client relationship/contract management, estimation, quotation, specification review, planning, material procurement and delivery co-ordination of projects.  You will provide project management, organisational and technical skills to ensure project, resource, and safety outcomes are achieved.  You will promote a values-based culture and ensure delivery of quality, client valued services. 

Your skills and experience

• Significant experience and capabilities working at a Project Manager, Supervisor, or Operator level within HV electrical installation and maintenance on mining infrastructure (and/or relevant experience in related sectors including Power and Water Utilities, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Aviation and Marine welcome).
• Australian Trade Certificate Qualified Electrician, License and HV Electrical Ticket. 
• Diploma in Project Management disciplines and/or equivalent and substantial experience. 
• Ability to take responsibility for ensuring own and team members physical and psychological wellbeing and safety.
• Comprehensive understand of HV electrical installation and maintenance on mining infrastructure (and/or relevant experience in related sector), management strategies and operational solutions.
• A strong understanding and working knowledge of all Australian Electrical Standards, Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental Management and Quality Systems.
• Demonstrated and significant experience in leading field based technical teams to achieve project and operational outcomes.
• Sound financial and commercial skills with a demonstrated understanding of risk, cost management and project management experience in mining or heavy industry.
• A highly developed drive and ability to trouble shoot, problem solve, identify innovation, and implement solutions to achieve quality, safety, technical and productivity outcomes. 
• Sound self-awareness, people leadership and communication skills, with an ability to work in a team environment and communicate clearly and effectively with a range of people.
• Sound computer literacy skills and ability to navigate the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project. Experience with scheduling and planning software will be highly valued.
• Other qualifications are desirable including: CPR, First Aid, Confined Space Entry and Rescue Training, Work Safely at Heights, OHS Construction Induction.
