As the Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Electrical Projects in the mining sector, including HV and LV works, Switchboard replacements, and overseeing end-of-life replacements. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of projects while managing budgets and resources to ensure their successful completion. This role is based on-site at Groote Eylandt, NT. Working-from-home options will become available after appropriate training is completed on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of all Electrical Projects in the mining sector, including HV and LV.
- Oversee end-of-life replacements for electrical systems in the mining sector, including managing budgets and resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and contractors, to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reports to ensure project goals are met.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, including mining-specific regulations.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
- Manage subcontractors and other team members to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Prepare and deliver project progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or trade-relevant qualifications.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management in the mining sector, with a strong focus on electrical systems.
- Heavy brownfields experience
- Strong technical knowledge of HV and LV systems, with specific experience in the mining sector.
- Proven experience in end-of-life replacements and upgrades in the mining sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience working with stakeholders and contractors in the mining sector.
- A hands-on attitude with all aspects on the role
