Your new role
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and timely completion of Electrical Projects.
- Manage the whole process of projects, from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with project objectives, budget, and schedule.
- Work with clients, suppliers and third-party experts as part of a multidisciplinary team to create project specifications and electrical system designs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates with the sales team to assess project viability and resource needs.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and electrical documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Track project timelines, resources, and budgets, making necessary adjustments to ensure project success.
- Procure necessary equipment, materials and engineering services from contractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Perform regular inspections and quality control checks to identify and resolve any electrical system issues or deficiencies.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project and workshop teams, resolving technical challenges and ensuring effective communication amongst team members.
- Identify project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and industry best practices, incorporating innovative solutions into project designs.
What you'll need to succeed
- Batchelor Degree in Engineering in Electrical, Electronic or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in producing single line diagrams (SLDs) and detailed Electrical Wiring Schematics.
- Hard-working and self-motivated
- Excellent communication and networking skills, both internal and external.
- Proven design experience specifically with Electrical Standards AS/NZS 3000
- Demonstrated track record in electrical engineering and project execution.
