About the role 

We are looking for an experienced maintenance person to be responsible for carrying out maintenance activities at our timber processing facility located at Bathurst in Central West New South Wales, Australia. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be working within the maintenance team and will be responsible for breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance and fabrication projects. 

About you 

• Electrical trade qualification with a demonstrated understand of PLC – Electrical programming experience an advantage.  
• Ability to work day shift, afternoon shift or flexible hours as per operational requirements. 
• Must hold a current Driver’s Licence. 
• Must be able to strictly follow all safety procedures. 
• Experience within an industrial / manufacturing environment, timber experience an advantage. 

About the site 

The site is a mid-tier radiata sawmill company processing approximately 90,000m3 p.a. small saw logs. The business also produces framing and landscaping products. The mill is a modern Hewsaw SL200 sawline with fully optimised automation to gain high recovery and productivity. Other onsite facilities include a timber treatment plant, kiln drying and a drymill.
