Ventia currently seeking qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team in BlueScope, Port Kembla. Your primary responsibility will be to provide electrical activities to install, maintain, repair, replace and ensure the integrity, performance of equipment and systems with BlueScope.
To be considered for this role you will be required to demonstrate the following skills and experience.
What will you do?
- Repair, refurbish or replace defective plant and perform corrective maintenance activities as required to restore plant and equipment performance on site
- Testing/tagging, emergency and exit testing and repairs
- Fault-find on electrical equipment and automatic control systems, including PLC ad SCADA experience
- Perform planned preventative maintenance routines and make performance checks as required. Complete quality assurance records required for assigned tasks
- Assist the Supervisor with job timing, work scheduling/instructions and job plans in conjunction with technical services
- Ensure QA records are completed and maintained for required tasks
- Ensure that technical and safety procedures are followed when maintenance and repairs are being undertaken
Minimum requirements:
- Electrical Trade Qualifications
- Current A Grade NSW Electrical Licence
- High Voltage Switching Certificate
- Confined Space and Elevated Work Platforms
- Maintenance experience with Heavy Industrial Sector
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- A strong commitment and awareness of safety
