Job description

Working in and around Perth we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Technician with communication exp, for immediate start, to join our team during a period of steady sustained growth.

Primarily you will work in the Perth WA area with some after-hour callouts and the possibility of regional/interstate work. All works outside of the Perth metro area will include allowances and overtime rates

In this interesting role, you will carry out installation, commissioning, field repairs and maintenance as well as providing technical support to our customers both autonomously and in a team. In this role you will also be exposed to other aspect of the company such as cooling, secure power, thermal containment and IT installation. 

Primary duties of the role include:

  • Installation of conduits/ladder/containment
  • Installation and terminating power/control/data cabling
  • Testing and fault finding
  • Installation of structured cabling (Fibre / Copper)
  • Installation of DC systems
  • Storage battery testing
  • Fibre and copper testing
  • Understanding of AC and DC power systems
  • A current driver's licence and the ability to travel as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Understanding of AC and DC power systems
  • Trade qualification and licence in Electrical (A Grade)
  • ACMA Open Cable Registration and endorsements (Beneficial)
  • Previous experience in installing, testing, fault finding fibre and copper (Beneficial)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to OH&S in the workplace.
  • An ability to work independently within a team environment.
  • Be willing, if not already obtained, to apply for a National Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Trade qualification and licence in Electrical (A Grade)
  • A current driver's licence and the ability to travel as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

To be successful in this role, it would be helpful to have:

  • Previous experience working in Data Centres.
  • A strong understanding of computers and basic operating systems.
