Here's a snapshot of the Venue Manager responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the hospitality operations of the Josef Chromy venue including; Cellar Door, Events, Major Events and Restaurant
- Ensure the delivery of superior service and maximise customer satisfaction across restaurant, events and cellar door operations
- Control operational costs in line with budgetary requirements
- Work cross functionally with operational leaders at Josef Chromy Wines
- Lead the restaurant, cellar door and events teams including management of staff, training, coaching and recruitment
- Project delivery of large scale events including Grapes of Mirth, Effervescence, Festivale in conjunction with the Sales & Events department
- Be responsive to all customer feedback, compliments, complaints and enquiries - face to face, over the phone and via email
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering memorable experiences to guests
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- A flexible approach to work, including the ability to work weekends and evenings as required
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, particularly in relation to food safety and alcohol licensing
