ARA Electrical is seeking an experienced Industrial Hazardous Area Electrician to perform service and installation work in the Port Botany Area 2036.
This role is ideally suited to someone from a heavy industry background with experience troubleshooting automated equipment.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Field service and breakdown support for a range of customers over varying industries
- Preventative and corrective maintenance
- Install & maintain electrical cabling & equipment
- Fault find electrical faults on electric motors, variable speed drives & electrical control equipment
- Breakdowns & installation services
Experience and Skills
- Be a Trade Certified and Licenced Electrician.
- Cert III Instrumentation. (not essential)
- Cert IV in Hazardous areas
- NSW Drivers Licence
- Maintenance experience in a process plant
- Have excellent knowledge of current Australian Standards
- Has a sound understanding of SCADA and PLC systems and associated ancillary software.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and fault finding in various circuits i.e. Motor circuits, motor controllers and instruments
- Strong background in industrial automation and control systems
- Have good communication skills
- A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment
- Dedicated to customer satisfaction
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
- Ability and desire to participate in a rotating after-hours on-call roster
- Be motivated and have an excellent work ethic and attention to detail
