The position:
A permanent full-time role exists for an experienced Electrician to join their workshop based team located within their well eqippied and maintained Wetherill Park manufacturing facility. This role will see you assist with the manufacture of a range of high-quality specialist automated entry systems such as automatic sliding doors, swing folding doors, revolving doors, security doors, airtight and one-way door systems.
Previous experience in this industry is not essential as full Training and development wil be offered to the succesful applcants and opportunities exist for development within the business. Bring your previously gained commercial or industrial electrical experience and the right attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fitting off of electrical components to the various automated door systems
- Wire up revolving door canopies and drive systems.
- Roughing-in automated door system wiring for controls
- Inspect and build control boxes and other electrical components
- Assist with maintenance and repair of control wiring for a range of automatic door systems
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
- Testing and commissioning of finished automated door product for site installation
- Working from electrical schematics and diagrams
- Following establshed work procedures and safety practices
- Ensuring an efficient workplace and maintaining a clean and safe enviroenment in your workstation and the production floor
- Relevant Electrical Trade qualifications and / or relevant electrical control wiring experience.
- Prior experience within a workshop-based manufacturing environment. (Preferred)
- Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Previous troubleshooting, testing and commissioning experience.
- Self-motivated, switched on and great at problem solving.
- Effective communication and problem solving skills
- Organisational skills with a willingness to take responsibility.
- Efficient work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe machinery and power tool usage.
- Current NSW white card
- Current NSW driver’s license
