Can you lead a dynamic, energetic and passionate team, and be part of the new Footscray Hospital development process?This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team as they prepare to move to the new Perioperative Services Precinct at the New Footscray Hospital in 2025, and contribute to the design and development of the integrated services precinct.The Footscray Theatre complex currently provides 24-hour emergency surgery, diagnostics and interventional procedures as well as a Monday to Friday elective surgery program. The theatre complex currently consists of holding bay, six theatres with anaesthetic rooms and nine recovery bays. There are up to 14 surgical specialities operating including Orthopaedics, Vascular, Otolaryngologists, Neurosurgery, Urology and General SurgeryIn 2025 Footscray Theatres will move to become part of the New Footscray Hospital Complex. The Perioperative Services Precinct will integrate the Operating suites, Cardiac Cath Lab, Day Surgery and Interventional Radiology, and will have 12 theatre/procedure rooms plus shared are for Cardiology and interventional rooms. Stage one recovery will consist of 24 bays.We are looking for someone with the following qualities for this exciting opportunity:
- Embraces and promotes the values of Western Health
- Experienced Registered Nurse with Perioperative postgraduate and management/leadership Qualifications
- Demonstrable leadership capability
- Basic and Advanced Life Support
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Advanced Clinical nursing skills with relevant experience in Perioperative Nursing
- Experience in change management and development of new services is highly regarded
- Knowledge of relevant Legislation and ACCORN Compliance requirement
