About the job and role...Are you a positive and friendly electrician/apprentice looking to progress further with your career?
We're looking for a friendly, confident electrician who takes pride in their work but also keeps their van and uniform on point. We want someone who is able to install a main switchboard for a normal house without a lot of direction. Tom is an ASP2 electrician and will usually be working on the power lines while you'll be fitting off the boards. Tom is more than happy to assist you with any questions you might have, but being confident and efficient at installing switchboards is a must.

What's more, we do a fortnightly toolbox session where we have a training module of about half an hour which not only keeps us up to date on our technical knowledge but also allows the apprentices to ask questions about aspects of their work they may not fully understand.
WHAT DOES THE JOB LOOK LIKE?
We primarily work in the residential/domestic service and maintenance area. Many days we'll be together doing a main switchboard upgrade for a house or apartment block, or a rewire or some simple service and maintenance jobs. We use a simple job management system so you always know where you'll be working tomorrow.
When it's a new job that needs to be fault-found and then quoted, we engage our customers in an informative conversation about their electrical issues and the solutions we can provide. Next, we quote then and there on-site using our easy job management system and leave it up to them on which solution to choose. Then it's just a matter of booking in the job for another day or even doing it then and there if it's an easy one.
Generally speaking, our clients are lovely people that truly value the professional service we provide (there are always the crazies though, but at least they make for a good story! 😂)
Residential maintenance work can be challenging, whether it's crawling under a house or coming up with an innovative way to solve a customer's problem. You'll be expected to tackle these issues with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude but will always have the full support of both the office and the other technicians for those tricky situations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
- NSW Electrical License holder who is confident in their skills but willing to learn more on the job.
- Someone who is able to work on their own without direction all of the time.
- Full Drivers License (Manual required)
