Position advertised:
We are looking for a permanent full-time Electrical Tradesperson to join our Cairns based team.
The applicant should consider themselves a organised and reliable individual with relevant trade based experience.
Qualifications:
You must hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician to be a suitable applicant.
You must hold a General Construction Induction (White Card) to be a suitable applicant.
You must hold a National Police Check (dated within 6-months) or be willing to obtain one.
Experience:
We are looking for a candidate that has a minimum of 2-yearsexperience in general electrical installations and maintenance.
Additional experience in work involving the installation and maintenance of split system air conditioners is beneficial, but not essential.
Standard work hours:
- 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday.
- 7:30am to 2:00pm Friday.
Overtime (if applicable):
- Overtime worked as continuation of standard work hours is accrued as Time-Off-In-Lieu (TOIL).
- Overtime worked as non-continuation of standard work hours, including weekends or public holidays, are paid at the relevant penalty rates.

- $44 per hour starting rate.

Tasks & responsibilities:

- Liaise with clients using necessary forms of communication including in-person, phone, email, or text as required to fulfil the needs of the client.
- Carry out the installation, repair & maintenance of electrical infrastructure, fixtures & fittings.
- Provide knowledge, guidance, training & support to apprentices.
- Competently complete the entry of data into the company’s job management software via mobile phone app for each assigned job, quote, activity, or task.
- Always maintain a clean appearance whilst at work, including a well pressed work uniform with a tucked-in shirt, belt & buttoned sleeves.
- Demonstrate safe work habits & proper care of company vehicles, tools & equipment.
