Our client is currently seeking an experienced Underground Electrician for a permanent position to work within the coal mining sector. As a trade qualified and QLD Licenced Electrician, you will be responsible for completing electrical maintenance work on the Longwall Machinery.

Summary:
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Underground Electrician for a permanent position to work within the coal mining sector. As a trade qualified and fully QLD licenced Electrician, you will be responsible for completing electrical maintenance, disassemble, and assembly work on the Longwall Machine underground.

• Strong understanding of Queensland’s Coal Mining legislation and requirements ensuring Electrical work complies with this.
• Ensure all preventative and statutory inspections are completed, following and within the scheduled weekly time frame.
• Carry out electrical work on hydraulic machinery, conveyor systems & fixed plant mining machinery.
• Carry out breakdown repairs to electrical equipment and components as required.
• Assist in the planning processes for maintenance, quantity estimates, parts, and materials.
• Implement your Electrical knowledge for the efficient operation of the Longwall.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Prior experience working with underground coal mining operations or working within the mining sector on longwall machinery
• QLD Electrical Licence - unrestricted
• Have a completed and current Coal Board medical + Standard 11OR have the ability to pass a one
• Current C Class Manual Australian Drivers Licence
• Ability to obtain a clean National Police Clearance
• Willing to relocate to QLD if in another Australian state
• Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this job
