What You'll Be Doing
Provision of planned and corrective maintenance to biomedical equipment & engineering services in health care facilities serviced by Mid North Coast Local Health District in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and standards and in particular AS3551 - Management programs for medical equipment.
Provide professional advice on biomedical equipment and biomedical engineering services across Mid North Coast Local Health District.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course).
New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) immunisation history statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx .

- Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or qualifications and/or experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with biomedical equipment in a clinical environment.
- Proven analytical skills in fault finding & problem solving in general electronics and the application of medical equipment
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of medical equipment multi-skilling principles including an understanding of governing Australian Standards relevant to biomedical equipment.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to produce quality work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current Drivers licence and ability to travel as required.
