About the roleAre you passionate about technology and eager to embark on a career path where you can grow and develop your skills? We invite individuals with a drive for excellence to join our team as permanent, full-time Electronics Technician. Based in our Newcastle office in New South Wales, you will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of project roll outs, providing technical support to customers, and the delivery of preventative maintenance tasks.
We have two positions available; they are both DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) site support roles. The roster for these roles is flexible, open to discussion. It could be 7 days on and 7 days off, or 4 days on and 2 weeks in the office, depending on the your preferences and operational requirements.
- Participating in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronics and communication equipment as directed
- Collaborating with engineering and projects teams to develop technical solutions for clients
- Liaising with vendors, suppliers, Radlink engineers, and site-based resources as necessary
- Coordinating technical implementations for customers on Support Agreements
- Reading and interpreting wiring plans, drawings, and specifications
- Maintaining document integrity through management of change processes
- Collaborating with other technicians/installers to ensure safe and efficient project completion
- Responding to priority incidents and requests
- Adhering to stringent site safety, permit, and environmental principles.
To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates who can bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Certificate III in Electronics and Communication (UEE30911) or similar trade qualifications
- Radio Frequency experience, including maintenance and support of communications equipment
- Proficiency in Internet Protocol (IP) networking
- Desirable experience in Analogue VHF/UHF Radio systems, P25, Tetra, DMR, LTE, Microwave (Point to Point/Point to Multi-Point)
- Ability to read wiring plans and complex electrical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Maintenance experience on diverse RF Systems (desirable)
- Registered ACMA Cabling license with structured and coax endorsements (desirable)
- Experience working in live production environments
- Commitment to safety practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
