About the role

Rosebank Engineering is looking for an Electroplater to support our growing Surface Treatment division. We are looking for Electroplaters across shifts. The ideal candidates will be comfortable working on their feet, performing physical labour, focused on meeting deadlines and thrive on continuous improvement activities.

As an Electroplater you will perform daily tasks such as, but not limited to: 

• Perform electroplating, chemical processing and heat treatment of components to internal and customer process specifications within the scope of production and maintenance authorisations
• Assist the Laboratory Supervisor and perform plating bath solution sampling and chemical additions as required to maintain solution concentrations within prescribed levels
• Perform plating masking and unmasking IAW documented processes and procedures
• Assist in the manufacture of plating racking and fixtures
• Perform activities associated with the production of Deionised Water
• Assist with the verification and validation of plating processes
• Perform maintenance and calibration of plating baths, tanks and  waste treatment plants
• Interpret component maintenance and production data, and identify errors and areas for improvement 
• Proficient in the use tools, fixtures and equipment associated with the performance of work duties

About You

The ideal candidate will: 

• Have a professional, friendly, energetic and positive mindset  
• A good work ethic and willingness to learn
• Be comfortable following instructions as well as work autonomously 
• Adept fine motor skills and a high attention to detail
• Foundation level computer literacy 
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment  
• Working knowledge of Quantum ERP or other typical Aerospace ERP system is highly advantageous 
• Highly desirable experience in chemical processing environment
