The Space software product line (SSPL) team is looking for a motivated software engineer to help further strengthen the software infrastructure deployed to spacecraft flight computers. The successful candidate for this position will have a passion for spaceflight and the systems that make it a reality. The SSPL group uses C and C++ backed by the principles of object-oriented design and development. The role will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle from requirements development through integrated test on flight-like hardware.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience with C++, C, and Python programming languages
- Previous Agile experience
- Team-oriented attitude and work style
- A strong desire to innovate
Desired skills
- Full software development lifecycle experience
- Experience with Embedded Systems
- Understanding of DevSecOps
- Ability to work within multiple programming languages, operating systems, and development environments

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
