How you will make an impact
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to join our team as an Emergency Department Clerk. The ED Clerk will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Emergency Department by performing various clerical activities and duties, including registration, payment processing, and admissions.
Key Responsibilities include:
Registering patients and collect necessary information accurately and process payments
Assisting with admissions and discharge procedures
Submitting online claims to Medicare
Maintaining patient records and ensure confidentiality of information
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care delivery
Maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times
Working flexible shifts to support the 24-hour service provision of the Emergency Department
About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Previous experience in a clerical or administrative is role preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in basic computer applications
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
