About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Emergency Management Officer to join our Safety and Incident Management Service (SIMS) team. In this role, you will ensure the safety and security of individuals, equipment, and facilities, contributing to our goal of establishing a premier healthcare environment in Australia. You'll operate in a fast-paced setting, managing security, emergency, and parking-related issues with a focus on patient care and operational efficiency.

What you’ll be doing

  • Fulfilling responsibilities aligned with SIMS and Vehicle Traffic Management Service Plans.
  • Managing coverage to ensure 24/7 service availability, prioritising rapid response and professionalism.
  • Supervising security, emergency, and parking matters outside regular hours, maintaining a safe and patient-focused approach.
  • Providing support to the SIMS Operations Manager and meeting performance targets and service level agreements.
  • Establishing positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborating with other Facility Management Services to ensure smooth service delivery and ongoing improvement.

About you - your ideal skills & experience:

  • Certificate II in Security Operations or willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe.
  • Desirable: Certificate III in Security Operations.
  • Manual Driver's License (C Class).
  • Proven experience in a similar operational role, emphasising safety and security.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Dedication to patient care and safety, demonstrating a proactive and professional approach to Emergency Management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
