We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Relief Phone Assessor! You will be responsible for assessing community member needs and determine appropriate financial assistance, Emergency Relief and referrals. Responsibilities include
Conduct interviews and assessment for Emergency Relief (ER) with community members
Community members assisted to access support services through referral and advocacy to service providers within and external
Escalate complex or unresolved matters
Actively support local mission delivery model working collaboratively with Corps where required
Participate and contribute to continuous improvement
This is a permanent full-time position, based in Mitcham, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 3. What you will have
Diploma level (preferred) or Certificate IV (minimum) qualification in related field (Community Services etc)Experience working in Community Services sector
Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (beneficial)Experience working in a fast-paced environment (contact centre) would be highly regarded (for Phone Line ER Assessors)Benefits working at The Salvation ArmyWe offer our eligible employees NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefits
