Our facility boasts state-of-the-art technology, along with an experienced foundational team of highly skilled Emergency Veterinarians and Nurses. Currently operating five days a week, we aim to expand our workforce to ensure Animal care services are available 24/7. We take pride in maintaining our staff and strive to achieve a challenging yet rewarding work-life balance. Our distinctive location collaborates closely with the daytime GP, forming a unified team under the leadership of Dr. Taylor Argent, the Veterinary Director of AEC & Greencross Kedron, and Tracey Mifsud, serving as the GP practice manager. This collaboration harnesses each individual's strengths, fostering cohesion to facilitate the efficient functioning of a 24-hour facility.
Job Description
As part of this exciting role, you will:
- Provide outstanding clinical care to patients in emergency and critical care scenarios.
- Leverage cutting-edge equipment, such as multi-parameter patient monitors, an in-house laboratory equipped with PT/APTT and blood gas analysis, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, blood products, and mechanical ventilation.
- Collaborate closely with general practice veterinarians and nursing staff to guarantee comprehensive and integrated patient care.
Qualifications
What we're looking for:
- Emergency Veterinarians with at least 2 years of emergency experience are encouraged to apply. General Practice Veterinarians with a keen interest in Emergency Vet Medicine are also welcome.
- Memberships in Emergency, Surgery, or Medicine would be highly regarded.
- Strong commitment to providing optimal patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
