We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative leader who is passionate about technology and its potential to transform library services. Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing and implementing digital and technology strategies. You should have experience in managing Makerspace facilities, delivering creative technology programs, and enhancing digital literacy within a community setting. If you have a knack for identifying emerging trends and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging environment, we want you on our team.

What you should have to apply:

Qualifications and Licences: Qualification in a relevant field or relevant demonstrated experience and be Eligible for a Queensland Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Blue Card.

Experience: Proven experience in managing digital projects, Makerspace initiatives, and technology integration within libraries or similar environments. 

Skills: Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and train staff and community members.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Emerging Technologies, digital literacy, and creative technology tools.

Grant Writing: Experience in pursuing and managing grant applications.

Community Focus: A commitment to understanding and responding to community needs and enhancing library user experiences.

Administrative Skills: Ability to write and maintain procedures, manage projects, and supervise staff effectively.

Teamwork: ability to collaborate, work flexibly and respectfully with others to maximise outcomes, inspire trust and confidence.
