An exciting opportunity has become available for an Emissions Specialist to join our team and be responsible for facilitating the development/implementation of carbon/emissions reduction and accounting initiatives across the group's facilities and operations. This is a full-time role preferably based in Cooma NSW.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and coordinating the development of a corporate emissions reduction opportunities strategy
Providing valuable input to climate risk management and reporting processes
Identify asset and process solutions to achieve emission reductions and drive implementation
Review current methods and technologies used by SHL and improve GHG emissions data quality
Develop and support an internal environmental efficiency program
Participate in the Sustainability SteerCo (Governance) team and create reduction opportunities strategies
Act as an internal technical expert and focal point for renewable energy initiatives
Support the Company's ESG/sustainability reporting processes with relevant emissions inputs
We are looking for:
University Degree in environmental or civil engineering, science, or a related field
General experience in the implementation of environmental efficiency projects
Advanced knowledge of the latest emissions reduction field is essential;
Advanced knowledge of emission reduction and CO2 emissions calculations
