About YOU:
We are looking for a professional with great interpersonal skills who can handle multiple priorities to join their close knit, collaborative Employee Relations and Payroll team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide advice to Managers, Leads/Coordinators and employees on the Enterprise Agreement, Awards, Statutory Legislation, policies and procedures as required.
- Support and assist in the management of Employee Relations’ issues when necessary
- Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process , including Position description development and review, conducting job interviews, reference checking, contract development, and employee orientation and induction.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the orientation and induction program in consultation with the Manager ER/Payroll.
- Conduct first day orientations for all new staff including external secondees and temporary agency staff.
- Undertake the role of Return-to-Work Coordinator and pro-actively manage workers compensation claims and return to work program in accordance with legislation
- Identify learning and development needs and undertake needs analysis for teams as required.
- Source suitable training/courses and providers and facilitate in-house seminars/workshops.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Human Resources/Employee Relations role
- Demonstrated knowledge of current HR/ER/IR matters
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Confident with technology and CRM systems, numerical and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information
- Ability to display resilience and work under pressure ensuring strict deadlines are met
- Experience with employee self-service software or ability to develop these skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
