Employee Relations SpecialistCompany: Boeing Australia Holdings Pty LtdJob ID: 00000419114Date Posted: 2024-04-07Location: AUS - Brisbane, AustraliaJob Description Qualifications:Boeing is seeking a Brisbane-based Employee Relations (ER) Specialist to join our Human Resources team, reporting to the Employee Experience Manager on a 6-month fixed-term basis.The ER Specialist contributes to employee experience initiatives, working collaboratively with the HR team and business leaders to provide complex ER case management and expert advice, and ensure our ER approach, policies, procedures and practices align with legislative requirements and business needs.Applications for this role close Sunday 14th April and recruitment may commence before advertising closes.Responsibilities include:
- Manage complex ER cases including those relating to conduct, performance, disciplinary, grievances;
- Support the Business Partnering team with day to day case management advice, support and strategies;
- Undertake detailed workplace investigations and provide recommendations to the HR Director and business leaders;
- Work closely with internal Law and other teams to obtain legal advice and escalate as appropriate and where required;
- Provide expert advice and guidance on Enterprise Agreement interpretation, policy development and interpretation, Employee Relations issues and disputes;
- Respond to and present matters on behalf of BDA at various conciliations and hearings with industrial organisations, including Fair Work Commission, Equal Opportunity Commission and other bodies;
- Support employee experience initiatives that promote a positive employee experience, contribute to accomplishing our priorities and build a culture of trust, care and connection;
- Maintain awareness of relevant issues, policy obligations, insights, challenges, opportunities, industry trends and practices to recommend solutions that optimize outcomes and contribute to best practice in line with the business priorities;
- Drive positive leadership behaviours and promote an inclusive culture.
- 7+ years’ experience in a similar role, investigating and managing complex ER cases including those relating to conduct, performance, disciplinary and grievances;
- Experience in the management and resolution of employment related disputes and claims
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with business leaders, managers, stakeholders, peers, and partners;
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and comprehend complex concepts, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience in stakeholder engagement within a large matrixed organisation, preferably multi-national;
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment and as part of a multi-disciplinary team;
- A high level of personal initiative and drive;
- Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution is desirable but not essential.
