Reporting to our General Manager People & Culture, you will be responsible for managing and resolving Employee Relations issues, promoting a healthy work environment and ensuring compliance with employment laws, company policies and Enterprise Agreements (EAs). The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, an in depth understanding of Employee Relations and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of different stakeholders - both internal and external to the organisation.Key Responsibilities: Leading negotiations for BUMA's enterprise agreement renewals Provide timely and expert Employee Relations advice and case management services on a range of different matters, including workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, disputes and major change activities. Represent the Company on external matters, including advocacy activities at the Fair Work Commission Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders Prepare briefing papers in relation to IR matters (such as change in law and the corresponding impacts on the business) Interpretating legislation, case law, employment contracts, enterprise agreements and awards Award mapping Contribute to the development and implementation of Employee Relations policies and procedures Ensure company compliance with employment laws and regulations Provide guidance and training to employees and managers on company policies, procedures and the specific provisions within EAs Foster open and transparent communication channels between employees and management, ensuring alignment with EA requirements This role will require travel to our projects in Queensland.Profile description:About You: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law, Business or related field Proven experience in an Employee Relations role, preferably in mining or heavy industries In depth knowledge of employment laws and awards Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution and negotiation abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Self-driven with the ability to think proactively and innovatively Willingness to travel to mine sites as necessary To be considered for this opportunity please click "Apply Now" to submit your application!All final applicants for this position will be asked to consent to a police check.
