- Provide support and advice to the People & Culture team and the organisation on complex ER issues, including performance, discipline, injury and illness, long term absence, restructuring, terminations, disputes, complaints and investigations
- Devise pragmatic solutions to complex queries, drawing upon detailed understanding of employment law, operational priorities and people management
- Undertake investigations and/or brief external providers as needed
- Represent the organisation at tribunals and the Fair Work Commission
- Support the negotiation and implementation of Enterprise Agreements and provide advice to the People & Culture team and Leaders across the organisation to ensure compliance with, and consistent application of, Enterprise Agreements.
- Experience in a legal environment or in an Employee Relations Specialist role within a medium to large organisation
- Exposure to Enterprise Agreement negotiation and implementation for a medium to large organisation
- Highly developed knowledge of employment legislation and ability to conduct legal research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources, or another related field.
