About the roleEvery one of our team contributes to helping make our members’ world better. In this permanent role as an Employee Relations Specialist in our Employee Experience and Wellbeing team, you will play a critical part in a diverse range of Employee Relations initiatives. In particular, you will:
  • Provide support and advice to the People & Culture team and the organisation on complex ER issues, including performance, discipline, injury and illness, long term absence, restructuring, terminations, disputes, complaints and investigations
  • Devise pragmatic solutions to complex queries, drawing upon detailed understanding of employment law, operational priorities and people management
  • Undertake investigations and/or brief external providers as needed
  • Represent the organisation at tribunals and the Fair Work Commission
  • Support the negotiation and implementation of Enterprise Agreements and provide advice to the People & Culture team and Leaders across the organisation to ensure compliance with, and consistent application of, Enterprise Agreements.
About youIf this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:
  • Experience in a legal environment or in an Employee Relations Specialist role within a medium to large organisation
  • Exposure to Enterprise Agreement negotiation and implementation for a medium to large organisation
  • Highly developed knowledge of employment legislation and ability to conduct legal research
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources, or another related field.
