About the role
As an Employee Relations Specialist at Activ, you'll be a key player in shaping and enhancing our Employee Relations outcomes. Collaborate with our Employee Relations Manager to tackle industrial relations matters head-on. Your role goes beyond compliance – it's about providing expert support, advice, and coaching to leaders and our HR Business Partnering team.
A typical day may include:
- Governing and overseeing wage assessment tools to keep Activ compliant with employment obligations.
- Supporting the People & Culture HR and Operational management teams in maintaining compliance with Employee Relations obligations.
- Developing and implementing solutions for continuous auditing against employment obligations.
- Providing training and advice to ensure compliance with legal and organisational commitments.
- Offering expert advice on Employee Relations and assisting in resolving complex industrial relations issues.
- Collaborating on developing procedures and tools to elevate Activ's Employee Relations outcomes.
- Supporting the Employee Relations Manager in developing and implementing industrial relations systems, policies, and processes.
- Contributing to Enterprise Agreement negotiations.

- Thrives in both autonomous and team environments to achieve expected outcomes.
- Excels in report writing, including policies, procedures, board papers, and submission requests.
- Is proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Has experience facilitating training sessions, coaching, and mentoring staff.
To be successful in this role you will require a Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Employee Relations or other related discipline along with a current C Class driver's licence.
