This is an ANZ team and there will at times be the opportunity to work across NZ legislation. This role will analyse information and data necessary to define and discern reputational, cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes. The role oversees daily business activities within the functional area, including, working alongside colleagues to improve overall business functions.What you’ll do
- Provide expert advice on employment legislation, policies, and procedures to People and Culture, and the business, within the latitude of established company policies in order to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
- Conduct investigations into workplace disputes, grievances, and disciplinary matters and represent Datacom where necessary in meetings, negotiations and investigations with employees/their representative.
- Conduct research on human resource policies, case law and other employment issues.
- Ensuring value and business outcomes are evaluated and articulated appropriately.
- Familiarity with recognised industry bodies of knowledge, both generic and specific.
- Mentoring and coaching others
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and legal developments.
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of employee and industrial relations frameworks.
- Good knowledge in people management best practice principles, initiatives and processes.
- Ability to understand impact of decisions on wider group.
- Knowledge of employment and company compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in a ER role.
- Ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors and exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties.
- Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information across various levels.
