The Opportunity 

MEGT is seeking a passionate Employment Specialist (NDIS) to help shape our division's initial design and delivery. As a key player in this new venture, you'll engage with NDIS participants, design individualised plans, and collaborate with employers, all whilst contributing to developing MEGT’s cutting-edge systems and processes.

Duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Be at the forefront of delivering employment services to NDIS participants.
  • Engage with participants by assessing their needs, and designing individualised plans to build their capacity for sustainable employment, training, or other vocational opportunities
  • Deliver suitable interventions, including vocational and career counselling based on assessment outcomes, such as one to one or group activities, online or digital literacy interventions, work experience or exposure to industry, or referrals to specialist providers
  • As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing employment opportunities through proactive networking, industry research, and cultivating strategic partnerships. Establish & maintain strong relationships with NDIS participants and their support workers, specialist service providers, schools, community organisations as well as various other stakeholders to deliver an exceptional service.  

About you 

You will have experience in a similar role with significant case management experience. You will have demonstrated the ability to engage, respect and support those of diverse demographics and social backgrounds

You will also have:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in areas such as disability support, employment services, vocational education, and training. This can include: Cert III Individual support or Certificate IV in Employment Services, Career Development or other similar qualification. 
  • Previous experience fostering positive relationships with various external stakeholders including, employers, participants, community organisations, specialist services and parents/guardians 
  • Experience in delivering exceptional customer service, demonstrating a  professional approach with a passion for increasing customer satisfaction, outcomes, and driving continuous improvement and learning. 
  • Proven capacity to meet set targets/KPIs in line with team, role, division, and organisational objectives.
  • Excellent communication and administration skills including strong problem solving skills and ability to interpret and assess information 
  • Ability to travel frequently as this role will be required to deliver services across Brisbane

The successful applicant will be required to undertake pre-employment checks which include an NDIS Workers screening clearance, National Police Check, State/Territory Working with Children Check, reference checks, verify your right to work in Australia and confirmation of qualifications.
